Saloon boat Lieve

De Lieve is not only the youngest member of the Private Boat Tours fleet but also the youngest descendent of the fleet.

She was built in 1935 as an executive ship for Ketjen (now AkzoNobel) and met all the requirements of her time: spacious, luxurious and comfortable. After the merger of Ketjen in 1962 she officially passed into the hands of the captain, who steered her for 15 years. Captain Heijsman took the Lieve with him on his travels all over Europe, even as far as the Mediterranean Sea!

Since 2006 de Lieve sails again as a luxury saloon boat through the canals of Amsterdam and since 2019 she is part of the exclusive Private Boat Tours fleet.

Built and designed by an Amsterdam shipyard, she will be completely renovated in the Amsterdam tradition by 2020. On board you can enjoy the classic atmosphere, equipped with all comfort facilities such as a well-stocked cool bar and soft leather cushions.

With a lot of love the Lieve will be launched again this autumn, so she can stroll through the canals for many years to come.
